Websites

A website that loads fast and gets found.

Not every organization needs an operational system. Sometimes you need a site that ranks, loads on a weak signal, and makes you look like the business you actually are. Two ways to get there.

Two tiers

Pick the one that matches the job.

The difference is scope and photography, not build quality. Both are custom, both are yours to keep.

Quick turnaround

Fully branded

Restaurants and resorts

For places where the website is the first impression, and the photography is doing as much selling as the copy.

  • Brand direction, or a refresh of what you have
  • Original food and property photography

Both are quoted in writing before anything starts. Hosting, domain registration, SSL, and business email are available as add-ons — listed further down. Full ranges for larger systems are on the FAQ.

Getting found

Built is not the same as findable.

Plenty of small business sites here are invisible to Google, because publishing a site and submitting one are different jobs and nobody did the second.

Every site launches indexed and measurable. Sitemap and robots file submitted, Search Console connected so you can see which searches you actually appear for, structured data so your hours and location show up properly, and a load time measured on a phone connection rather than office fibre.

  • Submitted to Google, not just published
  • Titles and descriptions written per page, not repeated
  • Mobile-first, because that is where the traffic is
  • Speed measured on the connection people actually have

Either tier

What every site gets.

The baseline does not change with the budget. A cheaper site is a smaller site, not a worse-built one.

Built to be found

Page titles, descriptions, headings, and structured data written for what people actually search, not stuffed with keywords. Sitemap and robots file submitted to Google, and Search Console configured so you can see what is working.

Fast on the connection you have

Compressed images, minimal scripts, and fonts served from your own server. A site that loads on a phone with two bars at Red Hook will load anywhere.

Readable on every screen

Designed for phones first, because that is where most of your traffic is. Real touch targets, no pinch-to-zoom, no horizontal scrolling.

Accessible by default

Proper heading structure, labelled forms, keyboard navigation, and colour contrast that meets WCAG 2.2 AA. Required for public-sector work and better for everyone else.

Yours to keep

You own the code, the domain, the hosting account, and the content. No licence, no platform you have to keep paying to stay online.

Nothing to babysit

Hand-built HTML and PHP with shared includes, commented and documented at handover. There is no CMS to keep patched and no theme to break on the next plugin release. Text and image changes come back to us and are usually turned around the same day. If editing pages yourself matters, say so at the start and we will build it somewhere that allows it.

How it runs

Five stages, and you see it the whole way.

No long silence between brief and reveal. Pages go up on a staging link as they are built, so nothing is a surprise at the end.

The content stage is what usually decides the timeline. If copy and photography are ready, one to two weeks is realistic. If they are not, that is the part to start on.

A website build, start to finish

Understand A short conversation about what the business does and who you are trying to reach. What you sell, and to whom, decides the structure.
Structure Pages, navigation, and what each page has to achieve, agreed before any design starts. Cheap to change at this stage, expensive later.
Design and build Built directly rather than mocked up and then rebuilt. You see real pages on a staging link as they come together.
Content Copy written or edited, photography shot or selected, everything placed. This is usually the stage that decides the timeline.
Launch Domain pointed, SSL installed, analytics connected, sitemap submitted. Documentation handed over.

Add-ons

The things a website needs to actually stay online.

Quoted with the project rather than bundled invisibly, so you can see what each one costs and decline anything you already have.

Hosting Standard, reliable hosting in your name. We can manage it or hand it over.
Domain registration Registered to you, not to us. Renewals stay in your control.
SSL certificate Installed and renewing. Non-negotiable if you take any information at all.
Business email Addresses on your own domain rather than a free provider.
Photography Food, property, and team photography, shot on location.
Ongoing changes Retainer or hourly, whichever fits how often you actually need us.

Start here

Tell us what the business does.

That is genuinely the whole brief to start with. What you sell, who buys it, and what you want someone to do when they land on the page.

Useful to have, none of it required

Your logo, if you have one If you do not, that is a conversation rather than a problem.
Photos you already like Even phone photos tell us what the place feels like.
A site you think works And one you cannot stand. The second is usually more useful.
Hours, address, what you sell The boring details that have to be right for search.
